Chief Investigator
CI Jackson is a mid-career academic and Director of Research Impact and Engagement in the School of Psychological Sciences and Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health, Monash University, a Research Fellow at the Institute for Breathing and Sleep, Austin Health and a registered Psychologist. Having completed their PhD in 2009, CI Jackson undertook postdoctoral training at the Sleep and Performance Research Centre at Washington State University and was awarded an NHMRC Peter Doherty Early Career Fellowship in 2012. In 2018, CI Jackson was awarded the Australasian Sleep Association Career Development Award in recognition of their contribution to the society and field more broadly. CI Jackson commenced a faculty position at Monash in 2019, and is currently Chair of the Finance Committee and Board Member of the Australasian Sleep Association, the peak professional body for sleep in Australia and New Zealand, and is on the Executive Committee of the Australasian Chronobiology Society.
Student Investigator
Sanjivini is a current Clinical Psychology PhD Candidate at Monash University.
She completed her undergraduate training BPsych (Hnrs) at Monash University in 2021 and then worked at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi in 2022.

Co-investigator and Founder of A Mindful Way
Dr Withers is a Clinical Psychologist and Mindfulness Teacher with over 20 years experience treating people with insomnia, and other mental health and chronic health problems, across private and public health services in Australia and the UK.
Dr Withers is the author and presenter of the course A Mindful Way to Healthy Sleep.
In addition to her private practice, she has worked within a range of specialist services, including a UK Centre for Excellence in the treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS/ME); Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre; Caulfield Pain Management and Research Centre; and The Melbourne Sleep Disorders Centre. She has extensive experience helping people with CFS/ME, cancer, persistent pain, and sleep disorders.
Recognising the benefits of yoga and mindfulness meditation for healing and personal growth, Giselle undertook further training to become a qualified yoga teacher (RYT200) and mindfulness teacher. She has undertaken MBCT teacher training (Level 1, 2 & 3a) with Monash University Southern Synergy, and teacher development retreats including the 7-day residential Mind-Body in Medicine retreat with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli (Centre for Mindfulness, UMass), and with the Mindfulness Training Institute Australasia. She has also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a mindfulness-based therapy for mental health, with Dr Russ Harris.
